We welcome new SDD 2024 member: Zafferano America

Zafferano was founded in 2001 by designer Federico de Majo. Initially producing fine crystal glass stemware, the brand gained renown for its colorful glassware, dinnerware, and especially its unmatched collection of cordless lamps.

Born and raised in Venice, de Majo spent his formative years on the fiery factory floor of his family’s glass blowing business, Vetreria de Majo, on the isle of Murano. Although he currently works in the lush countryside of Treviso, his soul and design ethos is securely anchored in the Venetian lagoon.

Every Zafferano product carries with it generations of Italian craftsmanship, originality, and elegance designed to bring joy to everyday life. The newly opened showroom is the brand’s flagship US showroom. For the first time, designers can see our iconic cordless lamps, fixtures, and tableware all in one place.
